Where's a Nonsmoker to Go?

Restaurants in the Tokyo and Yokohama Area

These are only a few locations and need updating. For more restaurants, try the NO SMOKE TOKYO site.

Smoke-free Restaurants

Restaurants with no-smoking sections

Note: Almost all "western" restaurants in Japan offer no-smoking sections (kin en seki). The problem lies in finding a spot that's far enough from the smokers to make a difference. Also, in small places (like McDonald's and Doutor), no-smoking sections exist in name only. Some places have a no-smoking floor--try for those.

Kudos to the officials in Chiyoda-ku for making that ward one big non-smoking area! I never thought I'd see that happen in my lifetime.
